2021 Pricing Update
We fully recognize that this last year has been full of challenges. We greatly appreciate your partnership, and we enjoy being your filter manufacturer. This last year has been anything but business-as-usual. It’s been more important than ever to be able to be responsive. We hope that our focus on rapid quote and order turn-around has helped make you more competitive. As we all know, pricing is also important. As expected, we are seeing strong inflation in the price of raw materials.
While Sidco Filter has a concerted focus on cost containment, there are many challenges due to the world and domestic climate. We are very sensitive to the impact that price increases have on our customers and do not take them lightly. As part of our response to this situation, Sidco will be implementing an average of 4.0% price increase on most of our products, effective on orders placed after March 1st, 2021. The net impact of our raw material increases is far greater than this percentage increase, but by focusing on our internal processes and planning, we can work together to mitigate the net impact on you. We will continue to make a concerted effort with our suppliers to get the most aggressive pricing.
We are providing advance notice to give us a chance to work together on keeping these increases at bay. One way we can help you control your cost is through the use of blanket orders. By committing to a certain quantity over time, we can commit to raw materials at current costs for that same time period. This will help keep our price stable. Please get in touch with us to set up a longer-term agreement (12-18 months) on items that you are interested in locking in your price – and keeping products ready to ship at a moment’s notice.
Even with this increase, we are confident that our pricing will remain one of the lowest you will find in the marketplace. Our sales staff is always available to assist you with this transition.
