Meet Jeff Hock
MEET JEFF HOCK
Jeff joined the team in January 2023 as Sidco’s new Director of Outside Sales. He has more than 15 years of industrial filtration sales experience specializing in OEM, industrial, and HEPA filtration markets.
He can handle your quote requests, product inquiries, and new product development. Jeff can reverse engineer existing products and work with you on new product design and development in the HEPA space!
Jeff will be at the ASHRAE Show in Atlanta in February 2023 and would love to set up a meeting with you if you are attending.
If you could write your own job title that best describes what you do here at Sidco, what would it be?
Filtration Consultant/Sales Engineer. I have always enjoyed working with customers to find solutions to fit their applications. Listening to the customer and understanding their needs has always been a priority of mine. By doing that, I can deliver the best solution for the customer.
What is your previous work experience? How does it translate to serving the customers in our industry?
I have worked in or around the filtration industry for most of my life, as far back as childhood, at the filter distribution business my father and grandfather owned. I have spent more than 15 years working in the filter manufacturing industry, developing solutions for customers through better design and improved manufacturing processes. I serviced many applications within the filtration industry, including IAQ, military, aerospace, medical, MOCVD, life sciences, process filtration, and more.
What do you enjoy about the work you do at Sidco?
I am excited to join a great group of people with a common goal. I have always enjoyed the filtration industry, especially the custom and OEM sectors, where each application has its own nuances. I am excited to bring my many years of knowledge to serve our customers best.
What do you enjoy doing when you are not working?
When I am not working, I am typically somewhere in the woods, either clearing ATV trails, hiking, hunting, or looking for my golf ball. Saturday mornings are reserved for walks with the dog and breakfast sandwiches from the drive-thru. Last but not least, I would be sharing stories with friends and family around the dinner table.
What volunteering or passion projects do you enjoy outside of work?
Volunteering with animal rescues is important to me. I’ve even fostered dogs in the past. I also enjoy woodworking, which you could call volunteering, because everything I make is for family and friends!
Any other fun facts about you?
My Girlfriend, Julie, and I bought our dream home in the country during COVID, where we live with our black lab/shepherd mix, Zoe. We also enjoy traveling, especially out to Montana and Wyoming!
