Metal end caps are commonly used by manufacturers who do not have the tooling capabilities to offer molded ends. Metal End caps are constructed with 3 components – a potting compound, a metal end cap, and a glued-on gasket. A Sidco molded end style filter is a one-component construction with our proprietary embedded risers and seals that make the molded end self-sealing during the application process.
