Meet Josh Bauer!
Josh joined the team in May 2022 as our new Applications Engineer, where he is currently focusing on our HEPA, ULPA, and ASHRAE products.
He has a diverse background in product development and project management. Throughout his career, Josh excels in collaborating with customers to define design and performance criteria. He enthusiastically transforms ideas into tangible products by creating and testing prototype solutions.
Josh holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Clarkson University, where he developed a strong technical foundation. His expertise and knowledge enable him to specialize in designing, developing, and reverse engineering filtration products for our customers.

If you could write your own job title that best describes what you do here at Sidco, what would it be?
Solutions Architect.
What is your previous work experience? How does it translate to serving the customers in our industry?
My previous work experience has been in product development/project management for snowmobile & ATV tracks and Aluminum 3D printers. My role involved working with customers to define design and performance criteria, creating & testing prototype products, and developing new manufacturing methods for the latest products.
Taking what I have learned from my previous jobs, I can work with customers and best understand their needs, enabling me to create practical solutions that benefit both the customers and Sidco. Having a background in product development, I can use my knowledge of the design process to understand all the impacts of bringing a new product to market.
What do you enjoy about the work you do at Sidco?
At Sidco, we work with customers from a wide variety of industries which in turn presents many unique filter applications.
The diversity of products that customers bring to Sidco creates many specialized designs, allowing me to learn new technology and develop new solutions every day.
What do you enjoy doing when you are not working?
Outside of work, I enjoy spending my time outdoors doing things like golfing, hunting, kayaking, fishing & mountain biking. I can be snowmobiling with friends and family in the winter at any opportunity! I also play hockey in leagues throughout the year, which keeps me busy on weeknights.
What volunteering or passion projects do you enjoy outside of work?
This winter, I plan on helping the McQuaid High School hockey teams as a goalie coach for both the Varsity and JV teams.
Any other fun facts about you?
I began skating and playing hockey at age five and still play goalie in Men’s league hockey.
I was a Clarkson University Clean Snowmobile Team member that won first place in the SAE Clean Snowmobile Challenge!
